After a wonderful sunny day of competition on Saturday at the Broadmeadow, Enniskillen at the County Fermanagh Championships, following the brilliant Friday night Recital at the Westville Hotel featuring Pipe Major David Johnson, the County Fermanagh Section would like to thank all who contributed in any way to enable this weekend of events to take place. We sincerely hope that all who came along very much enjoyed the weekend and we have already booked similar weather for 2019.

Thanks again to Gilbert Cromie for this excellent ‘Tartan Talk’ article in the News Letter.  Gilbert’s weekly ‘Tartan Talk’ article will now be published in each weekly Johnston Press newspaper province-wide - Londonderry Sentinel, Mid Ulster Mail, Ballymena Times, Antrim Times, Ballymoney Times, Coleraine Times, Carrickfergus Times, Larne Times, Newtownabbey Times, Ulster Star, Dromore Leader, Banbridge Leader, Lurgan Mail and Portadown Times.

Also, with the start of the new pipe band season Gilbert will have an article in each Monday’s News Letter showing pics, report and results from each contest - this is tremendous visibility for the pipe band scene.
