William Kerr Memorial Pipe Band are seeking a leading drummer to help develop a young drum corps. Practices are held in Drummond Orange Hall, a very central location near Dungannon and close to the MI Motorway. Payment is available for the suitable candidate.

The band are also keen to recruit drummers/pipers and learners to strengthen their ranks for the incoming year.

Cleland Memorial Pipe Band, Bangor, Co Down; are looking for a new Pipe Major to lead the Band in their promotion to Grade 3B.

They have had a great season in 2016, becoming UK Champions, 2nd in The Worlds and also finishing 2nd in NI Champion of Champions in grade 4A.

The Annual General Meeting of the County Down Section, Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Northern Ireland Branch will take place in the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch on Wednesday 19th October, 2016 at 8:00 p.m.

The Section looks forward to a good turn out of band representatives at the meeting.

It's that time of year again. The NI Branch School kicks off the Autumn term on Saturday 24th September at 9.30am. The venues are listed below. Please note that the North-West Venue has changed to Oakgrove Integrated College (BT47 6TG).

Mid-Ulster: Cookstown Primary School, Coolnafranky, Cookstown
Co. Fermanagh: Erne Integrated College, Enniskillen
Co. Down: Edenderry Primary School, Lurgan Road, Banbridge
North-West: Oakgrove Integrated College, Gransha Park, Londonderry

The Mid-Ulster Centre will have Drum Major tuition as a new addition for 2016/17.

The Branch School are also offering a number of Discounted Fees options:

Household Discounted Fees
Multiple Students attending the School from the same household will be subject to the following Fees:
2 Students - £25 each
3 or more students - £20 each

Young Student Discounted Fees
The fees for students attending the School who are in Primary 6 or 7 will be £25.
The fees for students attending the School who are in Primary 5 or lower will be £20.

If you would like to take advantage of any of the discount fees please contact the Branch Office ( or 02892670445) or your local Centre Coordinator so that your account can be enable for the reduced rate.

All Centres will be teaching on the first day and it would be helpful if as many students as possible could register on the website before Saturday. We've made it even easier to sign up this year.

The Music Board met on Saturday 17th September and approved the following grading changes for the 2017 season. These changes are already approved by the Board of Directors.
