On behalf of the Co Down Section I would like to express my sincere thanks once again to all the people involved in delivering such a diverse event in Lurgan Park on Saturday. The Council officials the parks dept and everyone who had a part to play. To Mark Wilson and all the great artists on stage thank you so much. We are trying to build an event that will entertain and we are succeeding each year.

The N I Childrens Hospice are to be the winners of a cheque for £2.500 as the proceeds of a charity prize draw from a set of bagpipes donated by R G Hardie of Glasgow.

After a long and very enjoyable day at Lurgan Park the event is over for another year.It was a great day out for all the pipe band family and with much to enjoy throught the day. The NI Childrens Hospice were the real winners with a total so far of £2.500 being donated or pledged on the day for our charity. Well done to all involved.Thank you to R G Hardie for the set of bagpipes for the raffle prize

The results are attached we have had to make a correction for an error that occurred in the Grade two drumming where with a combined total Bleary and District were in fact the winners. Sincere and unreserved apologies to the PSNI and Bleary and District Drum Corp.

We are pleased to announce that the Grade two bands will perform both an MSR and Medley selection at Lurgan Park. We hope you enjoy this addition to grade two. A big thank you to the RSPBA board on their approval and the bands for their support.

The Craigavon and Dist. Championships in Lurgan and in conjunction with Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will have a new photo backdrop where prizewinners will have their photo taken by Mr Kelly. The purpose will be to give sponsors and our Charity to gain some publicity. We hope you like it
The Battlefield Band. Real music legends in the Scottish Traditional Field will be appearing on stage at Lurgan park on the 20th June as part of our cultural music event. The popular Crooked Jack Backthorn and Sioda will also appear.
We have included a special performance from the Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Pipe Band the rising stars of the future. The band will also be on stage in Lurgan town. Times for all acts will appear tomorrow. Ths year we have incorporated the stage into the area around the cricket Pavillion so you will not miss a thing.

The much awaited Lurgan Park event is almost upon us. Together with Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council we have been working to bring you the best we can get in terms of Champion Pipe Bands and Drum Majors. Together with great music on stage with the
Battlefield Band Crooked Jack and Sioda. They will be joined by The Ulster Scots Agency Juvenile Band and other musicians. There will be music in the town centre and other entertainments for Children. Food tents and the usual hot food outlets will be available.
Again this year we have taken the work done by the Childrens Hospice to our hearts and with the monumental efforts of R G Hardie of Glasgow supplying the bagpipes, and a great team from the Hospice we hope to do well in this our charity event.
